Today, like never before, gaming is available on smartphones and other portable devices. Mobile gaming has taken over the world and the majority of us play games on our phones these days. The gaming industry also addressed the matter of mobile gaming, and thus we have many gaming titles devised for smartphones, and some PC or console ones adapted. In the future, we're going to have more and more games coming out for phones, as the number of smartphone users grows by the day.

Many of us are gamers who no longer have time to sit down on our computers or consoles and play. So, playing while commuting, during a lunch break at work, or whenever there's a moment of spare time is the only viable option. This is where smartphones come into play. If you love to play games on your phone, but you've had enough of your previous favorite choice, and you want to try something new, below you will find a list of the best games you can play on your phone in 2026. Check them out.

Red Dead Redemption

RDR will never go out of fashion. We guarantee you that. This game was released way back in 2010. When it came out, it was only a title intended for PS3 and Xbox 360. Fast forward to 2026, and now you can play it on your smartphone. We, as a technological society have come a long way, there's no arguing it. If you are a fan of a Wild West setting, and open world games, Red Dead Redemption is a game you need to try out. The chances are you've already heard about this game, as it is made by the same studio, Rockstar, that created the now most famous game of all time, Grand Theft Auto. The game can be played in a manner where you immerse yourself in the game play and try to complete the story, or simply ride your way into the sunset, hunt for bounties, and enjoy horse riding through the country.

Slot Games-All of Them

You do not have to be a fan of online gambling to play slots. Many slot games across all platforms are available in demo versions, and you can play without registering and depositing money. Modern online casinos provide players with an experience that feels as if you were sitting in a Las Vegas casino lobby. The best part is that when you play slots online there are thousands of different titles. For example, Stake slot games division has almost 5,000 different slots available. They work with some of the best game developers in the world such as Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw Gaming, or BGaming. If you decide to play on Stake platform, you will find titles such as Sweet Bonanza, Wanted Dead or a Wild, Big Bass Bonanza, Le Bandit, Fortune of Olympus, and Buffalo King, among many others. If you like to spin the wheels, playing online slots is the way to go for you. As we said, you can play the demo version of the games without registering and depositing the funds, but you can also become a member of a selected trustworthy platform and test your casino luck on your smartphone.

Arena of Valor

The MOBA market reminds people of two games in particular, Dota 2 and League of Legends. That's the situation when we talk about PC gaming. When we talk about mobile gaming, Arena of Valor takes the cake. While it is not more popular than Dota 2 and LOL, it has created a niche for itself in the world of mobile gaming, and it is almost as equally as popular. Arena of Valo is a real time strategy game you can now play on the go. It comes from the drawing house of the Chinese company Tencent. The game offers the player a choice to pick one of the 39 skilled heroes, which are later picked one against the other in a 5v5, 3v3, and even 1v1 battles.

Slay the Spire

Here we have another title that made a name for itself on PCs and consoles. In a few short years after its 2019 release, Slay the Spire grew so much in popularity that its creators had no other choice than to make it available on both android and iOS platforms. All of us who have played it, can testify that it suits mobile gaming perfectly. As far as Slay the Spire goes, back in 2019 it was one of the pioneers of roguelite deckbuilder games. We can say that in the seven years since its release it still stands the test of time quite well. Some would claim that it is even better now when available on smartphones. The reasons people play it more and praise it better on smartphones is the fact that the battles are shorter, you can play, pause, and quit whenever you want, and it comes at a fair price of only $10, making it perfect for everyone's budget. Also, for that price, you get one of the best games in its domain.

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

If you like vampires, you love Castlevania. The series that has spread itself through many mediums starting from gaming, novels, animation, and television, has now found its way to our smartphones. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night follows Alucard on his path of slaying demons, creatures of the night, werewolves, and other enemies on his path of resurrecting Dracula. Symphony of the Night is super interesting as it follows the main character through various levels of the game climbing up and down in a castle, while getting access to an unique inventory of gear such as spells. Swords, points, and all kinds of different items. As far as games structured for mobile gaming go, Konami hit the jackpot with this one, and you will not regret downloading it to your smartphone.

Subnautica

Subnautica is another title that has made a name for itself on PCs. Its creators have decided to give an Android version a go, and we are glad they have. Unlike its PC version which is focused on an Western open world, the Android version is focused on an alien planet submerged underwater, where you need to find a way to survive after crash landing. The goal is to find a way home, in a game that can be described as a survival horror game, especially if you have fear of open waters. If you find the setting acceptable, you're going to live this game. It comes with hundreds of hours of gameplay, and with a perfectly adapted UI for touch controls, Subnautica will become your favorite from the get go.

Sparklite

When Sparklite came out in 2019, it was a well accepted game as far as RPSs go. No one was swept off their feet, but the game was a fine title in the domain. It follows a main character named Ada, flying on her broken airship, transferring itself from air to the land of Geodia, where you need to collect items to build weapons in a never ending fight with the Titans. While its popularity on PC has veined in recent years, as far as mobile gaming goes, this game fits the segment ideally. Even when you fail in a game, each restart is a new opportunity to play the game differently, add different things to your aircraft, and change the future outcome of the game. The game offers an opportunity for constant progression when playing making it ideal for pastime on your phone when you have nothing else to do.

Chrono Trigger

Tell us you haven't heard of Chrono Trigger? We don't believe you. After all, it is one of the most iconic RPGs of its time. Playing it on your mobile device, just might be a one of a kind experience as far as gaming goes. Its story is charming, visuals are amazing, and strategic combat paired with time travelling makes it even better. The game first came out for Nintendo DS, so translating it to a mobile game was in no way too hard, and the work done is phenomenal. When it first came out, this game was groundbreaking, and it hasn't lost any of its shock value even today. It stands the test of time all too well, and if you're a fan of mobile gaming, you need to test it.

Where Winds Meet

With Where Winds Meet an interesting goal was achieved. The game is almost identical in its PC, PS5, and Android versions. It is a rare sight to see this happening, so if you're an only smartphone gamer this is as good news as it gets. When you play Where Winds Meet, you start the game as an unnamed protagonist who is then faced with an open world in which you're then placed on a string of quests helping locals with their martial arts expertise and different mystical arts. The game has a charm to it, but at times, it might be a tad bit too serious. While that might be the case it is also one of the games that has the best graphics out there as far as mobile gaming goes, and that's a massive positive trait. The one downside many mobile gamers might find with this game, is that you need a high quality machine to run it, and we're talking at least a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or above if you want the intended experience.

Destiny: Rising

Where MMO style progression meets gunplay is where you'll find Destiny: Rising. The game translates ideally for mobile gaming, and you will love every moment of playing the game as the Guardian. The game can be played as a first person or a third person shooter, and the goal is to collect as much loot as you can in order to build the best weapons to gin down your foes. To download and play the game there are no fees attached, but once you're immersed into the world of Destiny: Rising, the opportunities to spend money lie on every corner, and sooner or later you'll have to gear up not to be left behind by your enemies.

Cassette Beasts

This game came our way in 2-23 as a PC and console title, but it got where we wanted it just last year. If you love the Pokemon series, you will adore Cassette Beasts as it is evident where it draws its inspiration from. It is a combat focused RPG, where the list of your moves grows the more you play the game and the higher your level gets. Unlike in Pokemon where you collect the monsters, here you pick up cassette recordings of them. When you do this, you as a character transform into the given moment at will if you have a recording of it. The game is free to download and to play, but only for the first 20 minutes. This is a nice marketing trick to get you hooked. If you do, and we know you will, the game is not too expensive as it only costs around $5.99.

Enter the Gungeon/Exit the Gungeon

Enter the Gungeon/Exit the Gungeon is another title we got straight to Android, making a great addition to the world of smartphone gaming. The game is fast paced, all about the guns, and one of the best you'll find when it comes to 2D platform games. It can be played on your touchscreen, but for this one, we would also recommend having a controller. What's important to know here is that Enter the Gungeon and Exit the Gungeon are two games from the same developer. The enter version is pricier at $8.99, while the Exit one is set at $4.99. Pick your poison if you like, but for us, we think that going with both is the only right decision.

There you have it, mobile games that need to be on your smartphones in 2026. Whether it's the strategy you like, or it is slots and RPGs, MOBAs or first person shoo
